✈️ Role Overview
The Corporate Aviation Captain is responsible for the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation of The Pictsweet Company’s Citation 650. You will uphold the highest standards of a safety-first culture, collaborate closely with a highly experienced co-captain and aviation leadership, and ensure exceptional travel experiences for company passengers.
🧭 Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) when assigned, retaining final authority for safe aircraft operation.
- Maintain a robust safety culture through adherence to company procedures and industry best practices.
- Confirm airworthiness of the aircraft prior to each flight and ensure all required documentation is in order.
- Ensure flight crewmembers fully understand their assigned duties and performance expectations.
- Make and communicate critical go/no-go decisions, including start, delay, diversion, or cancellation, to appropriate stakeholders (Aviation Manager, Chief Pilot, Scheduler, Lead Passenger) as soon as practical.
- Prepare or supervise flight planning, considering altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight and balance, performance data, airport facilities, and navigation aids.
- Perform all tasks associated with operating the aircraft while away from home base, ensuring continuity of safe operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and Company policies and procedures.
- Report known or suspected FAA violations or incidents promptly to the Chief Pilot.
- Coordinate required passenger ground handling and surface transportation.
- Complete all relevant trip paperwork accurately and on time.
- Fuel the aircraft at home base and support collateral department duties as assigned.
🧰 Qualifications
- Lifestyle requirement: Alcohol-free and tobacco-free.
- Certificates: ATP with Multi-Engine Land rating; FAA First Class Medical.
- Hours: 4,000+ total time; 1,000+ multi-engine turbine.
- Permits: Restricted Radio Telephone Operator Permit.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional passenger service.
- Strong decision-making, communication, and crew coordination skills within a two-pilot environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to travel as required.
