Contract Cessna 340A Captain (Part 91) — KCXO | North Houston, TX

🧭 What You’ll Do

• Operate the Cessna 340A with uncompromising safety and full compliance with FARs, insurance requirements, and manufacturer limitations.
• Conduct thorough preflight planning: weather, fuel, weight and balance, performance, alternates, and risk management for Gulf Coast operations.
• Fly owner-directed trips, repositioning, maintenance, and post-maintenance test flights.
• Provide professional, discreet service to owners and passengers; handle coordination with FBOs, fuel, catering, and ground transportation.
• Execute single-pilot IFR operations in busy Houston-area airspace and variable coastal weather.
• Complete post-flight walkarounds; report squawks promptly; maintain accurate flight logs, Hobbs/Tach, and trip documentation.
• Coordinate with maintenance on aircraft status, inspections, and AD/SB compliance; maintain aircraft cleanliness and readiness between trips.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate — Airplane Multi-Engine Land (CPL/AMEL).
• Current and proficient instrument rating suitable for single-pilot IFR.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical (or higher), plus current flight review and instrument currency.
• Meet or exceed insurance underwriting minimums (final requirements set by carrier).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to KCXO.
• Ability to pass a background check; provide current pilot résumé, certificates, medical, and logbook summary.
• Clean FAA records with no accidents, incidents, violations, or enforcement actions.
• Experience minimums: 1,200 hours total time; 200 hours multi-engine; 50 hours instrument (actual + simulated); and 25 hours in a Cessna 340 or similar make/model, or completion of an approved type-specific initial course. Pilots close to these numbers are encouraged to apply.
• Living within approximately 1 hour of KCXO strongly preferred.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

• Time in the Cessna 340/340A and broader Twin Cessna 300/400 series (e.g., 310, 320, 335, 340, 401, 402, 414, 421).
• Turbocharged and pressurized piston experience; formal type-specific training.
• ATP certificate and/or CFI/CFII/MEI.
• Proficiency with Garmin GTN and G500-series (or comparable) avionics.
• Familiarity with Houston-area airspace and Gulf Coast weather patterns.
• Prior Part 91 owner-flown or corporate flight department experience.
