Citation XLS Family Captain (Excel/XLS/XLS+)

Step into a permanent Captain role flying the Cessna Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+ on Part 135 missions. If you’re a polished professional with a safety-first mindset and the experience to lead from the left seat, we’d love to hear from you. Type rating not required—training provided.

  • Residency: Within 1 hour of OGD or relocate within 2 months (no commuting)

🧭 Your Mission

As Captain, you will set the tone for a safe, compliant, and customer-focused operation while flying the Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+ in a two-pilot crew environment.

  • Lead all phases of flight: planning, briefing, execution, and post-flight debriefs.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAR Part 135, company procedures, and safety management protocols.
  • Conduct precise performance calculations, weight and balance, and weather/NOTAM assessments.
  • Demonstrate polished CRM, decisive leadership, and excellent passenger service.
  • Maintain currency, proficiency, and training standards; support a proactive safety culture.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total Time: 3,500 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command: 2,000 hours
  • Multi-Engine: 1,000 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 250 hours
  • License: ATP (FAA)
  • Medical: First-Class (FAA)
  • Type Rating: Not required (training provided)
  • Permits/IDs: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, valid passport, and valid U.S. state driver’s license
  • Location: Must reside within 1 hour of Ogden, UT Airport (OGD) or commit to relocating within two months of hire; commuting is not an option
  • Licensing Scope: Open to FAA certificate holders

🌟 Preferred Experience

  • Previous Part 135 operational experience

✈️ Training & Upgrade Path

  • NTR position—no prior type rating required; company-provided training to qualification on the Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+
  • Recurrent training to maintain proficiency, regulatory compliance, and safety standards
