Join Jet Linx as a full-time Second in Command on the super-midsize Citation Latitude and help deliver a world-class, safety-first private aviation experience. Based at Wilmington, Delaware (KILG), you’ll support both Part 91 and Part 135 operations, bringing disciplined airmanship, proactive decision-making, and impeccable professionalism to every mission.
The SIC prepares and ensures the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Jet Linx procedures. You’ll coordinate closely with the Base Chief Pilot and flight team, manage trip communications and reporting, and keep all flight materials current. Residency within, or willingness to relocate within, a two-hour call-out of KILG is required.
- Prepare and operate company aircraft safely and efficiently in compliance with FARs and company procedures.
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times per company policy and CFR requirements.
- Maintain clear communications for standby-duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintain and manage EFB hardware and applications; ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current.
- Complete flight-reporting and aircraft-documentation tasks accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making and live Jet Linx core values in every interaction.
- Work primarily in and around aircraft and terminals; be available for nights, weekends, and holidays; lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Minimum flight time: 1,500 total time; 500 PIC; 500 multi-engine; 100 turbine; 150 instrument.
- Certificates: Unrestricted ATP; current First-Class Medical; FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit; current passport.
- Eligibility: Proof of authorization to work in the United States; able to obtain a U.S. driver’s license; able to release and pass an FAA PRD review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Travel-ready: No travel restrictions to the EU, Canada, or the Caribbean.
- Residence: Live within, or relocate within, a two-hour call-out of KILG-based aircraft.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Safety & compliance: Pre-employment drug screen and any required random drug/alcohol testing for safety-sensitive functions (marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine [PCP], and amphetamines).
- Professionalism: Strong, proactive decision-making and consistent demonstration of Jet Linx core values.
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
- Base salary: $124,000–$160,000 annually (based on location, aircraft size for crew positions, and relevant education, training, and experience).
