Vectored Approach is launching a new FAA Part 135 private jet charter division and seeking an experienced Chief Pilot to build, lead, and elevate flight operations for a discerning, luxury client base. If you’re a safety-first aviator with proven Part 135 leadership, an ATP, and a Cirrus Vision Jet (SF50) type rating, this is your runway to shape something exceptional.
✈️ Role at a glance
As Chief Pilot, you will be the operational heartbeat of our charter division—owning pilot standards, compliance, training, and day-to-day flight execution. You’ll champion an uncompromising safety culture while delivering refined, reliable service to high-end clients.
🧭 What you’ll lead
- Direct all flight operations and pilot performance for Part 135 missions.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, manuals, and company procedures.
- Oversee pilot staffing, scheduling, mentoring, and performance management.
- Design, deliver, and maintain initial/recurrent pilot training and checking programs.
- Develop and refine SOPs that uphold safety, efficiency, and premium client service.
- Serve as the authority for operational risk assessment and go/no-go decision making.
- Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Dispatch/Charter Sales, and Safety to assure flawless trip execution.
- Model exemplary airmanship and customer care, including occasional line flying as required.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate ratings for at least one aircraft in operation.
- Cirrus Vision Jet (SF50) type rating.
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years (within the past 6 years) as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in Part 121 or Part 135 operations.
- Deep working knowledge of FAA Part 135 operational requirements and safety standards.
- Proven leadership and management experience in flight operations.
- Clean record: no FAA violations, accidents, or incidents.
- Flexibility to support irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
