✈️ The Opportunity

Jet Linx Aviation is seeking a safety-driven, detail-focused Second-in-Command (SIC) to support Challenger 605 operations from our Austin, Texas base. In this full-time role, you will report to the Base Chief Pilot and play a key part in safe, efficient, on-time operations for both Part 91 and Part 135 flying.

Call-out Expectation: Must live in or relocate to the Austin area and be able to report within 2 hours of home base.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Support the Captain in all phases of flight to ensure safe, compliant operations under FARs and company procedures.
  • Manage and track duty, flight, and rest times in accordance with company policies and CFR requirements.
  • Maintain active communication with the company for standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre/post-flight reporting.
  • Oversee Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and apps; ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
  • Uphold the highest standards of airmanship, judgment, and proactive decision-making while exemplifying Jet Linx core values.
  • Maintain a current First-Class Medical and all required credentials at all times.

🧰 Qualifications

  • Flight Time: 2,500 hours total time, including 500 hours PIC, 500 hours multi-engine, 100 hours turbine, and 150 hours instrument.
  • Certificates: Unrestricted ATP required; current First-Class Medical; FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Training: Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months (preferred).
  • Work Authorization & Travel: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.; current passport; ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license; unrestricted travel to the EU, Canada, and the Caribbean.
  • Residency: Willing to reside within a two-hour call-out of the Austin base.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Schedule: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as mission requires.
  • Compliance: Release and pass an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
  • Physical: Frequent lifting/moving up to 50 lbs; work in and around aircraft and terminals.

Base Salary: $135,000 – $170,000 annually (commensurate with geography, aircraft size, and your experience, training, and education).
