Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Captain to join a tight-knit flight team based at KBED (Hanscom Field) in Bedford, Massachusetts. In this role, you will deliver safe, polished, and discreet private air travel while upholding Solairus Aviation’s commitment to safety, service, and integrity.

  • Aircraft: Bombardier Challenger 605
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: On-call operations; domestic and international travel as required
  • Residency: Maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBED or be willing to relocate

🧭 Your Mission

Lead every flight with uncompromising safety, sound judgment, and exceptional professionalism. You’ll be trusted to plan, execute, and complete missions efficiently while creating a refined experience for clients and collaborating seamlessly with your crew and company support teams.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Assume full responsibility for the safe operation of the Challenger 605 on every leg.
  • Review aircraft maintenance status prior to departure and ensure airworthiness.
  • Conduct thorough preflight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM).
  • Plan flights prudently: analyze weather, NOTAMs, route, destination, and alternate airports.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Safeguard passengers, aircraft, and crew; maintain the highest standards of airmanship and service.
  • Accurately complete all required trip paperwork and reports.

  • Total Time: 3,000+ hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 1,500+ hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500+ hours
  • MEL PIC: 500+ hours
  • Turbojet Time: 500+ hours
  • Instrument Time: 250+ hours
  • Type Rating: Challenger 605 (or comparable aircraft)
  • Medical: Current First-Class Medical Certificate
  • Training: Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually
  • Availability: Comfortable working on an on-call basis
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, service excellence, and professional integrity.
