Jet Access is hiring a typed and current Challenger 604 Captain to command managed and charter operations from our Zionsville, IN base. You’ll hold operational control, set the tone for safety and service, and mentor the next generation of Jet Access aviators.

🧭 The mission

As the Pilot-in-Command, you’ll lead safe, compliant, and polished operations across domestic and international missions under Part 135 and Part 91. You’ll partner closely with our Operations Control Center, Maintenance, and client teams to deliver consistently exceptional experiences.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Command & mentorship: Serve as senior crewmember, exercise operational control and final go/no-go authority, model Jet Access safety culture, and coach First Officers with real-time guidance and post‑flight feedback.
  • Flight planning & execution: Lead weather/NOTAM analysis, performance planning, and international procedures; ensure adherence to flight‑ and duty‑time limits and required rest.
  • Client service: Deliver premium, personalized experiences; brief passengers and coordinate itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center in real time.
  • Maintenance coordination: Review flight/maintenance logs, verify airworthiness, monitor engine trend data when requested, and coordinate timely maintenance to maximize availability.
  • Regulatory compliance: Operate per the Flight Operations Manual, applicable FARs, and company policies; complete accurate flight, aircraft, and passenger records on time.
  • Security & international ops: Perform Ground and In‑flight Security Coordinator duties per 49 CFR 1544.215(b–c) as applicable; verify travel documentation and manage customs/immigration for international arrivals and departures.

📜 What you’ll bring

  • Certificates & medical: ATP and current First Class Medical.
  • Time in seat: 3,000 hours total time; 1,500 hours PIC; 500 hours multi‑engine PIC; 250 hours PIC in type on the CL‑604; 250 hours turbine PIC time on assigned aircraft.
  • Currency: Initial or recurrent training on the required aircraft type completed within the preceding 12 months.
  • Regulatory & tech fluency: Working knowledge of FAR Parts 135 and 91; proficiency with digital flight‑planning tools, avionics, and web/mobile flight apps.
  • Clearances & documents: Valid driver’s license and passport; able to pass background check and pre‑employment drug screening.

🕑 Work style & schedule

  • Field‑based, aircraft‑based role with regular in‑person presence at KTYQ and at charter departure points.
  • Must live local to the base within a 90‑minute call‑out.
  • Domestic and international travel with extended overnights and multi‑day assignments; evenings, weekends, and routine on‑call periods.
  • Maintain passport; coordinate customs and immigration as needed.
  • Meet and maintain all FAA medical and physical standards for Part 135 PIC; capable of extended duty periods across variable environments.
  • Clear, direct communication; concise crew coordination; continuous communication with Dispatch/Scheduling; participation in Level 10 meetings and all‑hands when not on trip.

🌟 Preferred experience

  • Part 135 or corporate operations within a managed fleet serving high‑net‑worth clientele.
  • Track record of mentoring and developing junior pilots.
  • Familiarity with Avianis, ForeFlight Dispatch, or similar scheduling/dispatch platforms.
  • Extensive international operations (ICAO airspace, overwater procedures, customs coordination).
  • Participation in SMS programs, audit preparation, or fleet standardization initiatives.
