✈️ Challenger 300 Captain — Washington Dulles (KIAD), VA
Solairus Aviation is seeking a seasoned Captain to operate a Challenger 300 based at Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD). In this full-time, on-call role, you will lead safe, efficient operations, deliver an exceptional passenger experience, and uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance and airmanship. Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive of KIAD or you must be willing to relocate.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as Pilot in Command of the Challenger 300, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and passenger care.
- Plan and conduct flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Review aircraft maintenance status and perform thorough preflight inspections per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Evaluate weather, NOTAMs, and facilities; determine alternates and fuel requirements for each mission.
- Exercise sound judgment, CRM, and risk management in domestic and international operations.
- Lead by example in the cockpit and cabin, fostering a safety-first, service-oriented culture.
- Complete accurate, timely trip paperwork and ensure all documentation is current and compliant.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Experience: Total time 3,000+ hours; PIC 1,500+ hours; MEL 1,500+ hours; MEL PIC 500+ hours; Turbojet 500+ hours; Instrument 250+ hours.
- Qualifications: Type rating in the Challenger 300 or comparable aircraft.
- Medical: Current First Class Medical.
- Training: Ability to complete ICAO International Procedures training annually.
- Availability: Comfortable working on an on-call basis to support dynamic flight operations.
- Location: Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KIAD or willingness to relocate.
- Administration: Strong attention to detail for accurate trip paperwork and records management.
