✈️ The Opportunity
As a Part 135 multi‑engine pilot with Backcountry Aviation, you’ll fly Cessna 300/400‑class aircraft serving Port Angeles, Seattle, Bellingham, and additional Northwest cities. You’ll combine disciplined airmanship with exceptional customer care to deliver a dependable, efficient travel experience across the region.
🧭 Where You’ll Fly
- Primary bases near CLM, SEA, or BLI, operating throughout Washington and the broader Pacific Northwest.
- Diverse coastal and mountain environments that value strong IFR/VFR decision‑making and terrain awareness.
- Service supporting community connectivity between key regional cities and outlying destinations.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute safe, efficient flights under FAR Part 135, adhering to company SOPs and all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight‑and‑balance for multi‑engine operations.
- Operate Cessna 300/400‑series (or similar) aircraft with professionalism in varied Northwest weather and terrain.
- Deliver an exceptional passenger experience through clear communication and attentive service.
- Collaborate with dispatch and maintenance to ensure on‑time, airworthy operations and continuous safety improvements.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- Total time: Minimum 1,500 hours.
- Multi‑engine time: 500+ hours.
- Certificates & Medical: ATP (MEL) and First Class Medical.
- Part 135 readiness: Meets all FAA Part 135 operator requirements.
- Preferred: Experience in Cessna 300/400 series or similar multi‑engine types.
- All experience levels welcome: We welcome seasoned aviators, including retired candidates 65+.
Candidates must satisfy all applicable FAA Part 135 qualifications at the time of hire.

- Full‑time base pay: $75,000 per year.
