🧭 About the role
As a Caravan Captain with Reliable Airlines, you will serve as Pilot in Command for Part 135 cargo feeder flights operating single-pilot IFR. You will execute each mission with uncompromising attention to safety, regulatory compliance, aircraft limitations, and company procedures while ensuring accurate cargo loading, preflight planning, and weight & balance before every departure.
🧰 What you'll do
- Act as PIC on the Cessna C208 Caravan in Part 135 cargo feeder operations under single-pilot IFR.
- Plan and conduct flights in full compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and aircraft limitations.
- Oversee cargo loading; verify securement and complete comprehensive preflight, weight & balance, performance, fuel, weather, and NOTAM reviews.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch, maintenance, ATC, and customers.
- Complete required operational, flight, and maintenance discrepancy logs accurately and on time.
- Continuously manage operational risk and make sound, safety-first decisions in dynamic conditions.
🌟 What you'll bring (Minimums)
- Proficient single-pilot IFR skills and strong communication.
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, safety‑oriented environment.
- Participation in the FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Part 135 qualifying experience (FAR 135.243(c) IFR):
- Commercial pilot certificate — Single-Engine Land with Instrument rating.
- 1,200 hours total time.
- 500 hours cross-country.
- 100 hours night.
- 75 hours instrument (actual or simulated), including 50 hours in actual flight.
- Medical: FAA First or Second Class Medical.
💼 Bonus points (Preferred)
- ATP certificate.
- Previous Part 135 experience.
- Cessna C208 Caravan time.
- 1,000 hours PIC.
- Impeccable safety record.
🧭 Travel & schedule
This full-time role involves travel up to 75% of the time to support cargo feeder operations across the network.
