As a First Officer on CanWest Air’s Caravan fleet, you’ll support safe, efficient operations while building the experience and leadership skills that pave the way to the Captain’s seat. 🧭 What you’ll do

  • Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the C208B in accordance with SOPs and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Conduct thorough preflight and postflight inspections and ensure aircraft documentation is current.
  • Support flight planning, including performance calculations, weight and balance, weather and NOTAM review, and routing.
  • Manage radio communications, navigation tasks, and checklist discipline during all phases of flight.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture, including SMS participation and proactive hazard reporting.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and ground teams to ensure on-time, customer-focused operations.

🧰 What you bring

  • Minimum 200 hours of fixed-wing flying time.
  • Ability to pass Transport Canada medical and visual acuity requirements for a Category 1 medical certificate.
  • Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
  • Current Group 1 (Multi-engine) Instrument Rating.
  • Canadian passport or permanent resident status.
  • Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Eligible to travel to the United States without restriction.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (Basic + CPR, or equivalent).
