✈️ The opportunity
As a C208 pilot with Westair, you will safely operate company aircraft, ensure the comfort and safety of passengers and crew, and support smooth end-to-end flight operations. You’ll maintain meticulous flight records and engage in ongoing training while traveling extensively throughout Africa.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the C208 in full compliance with company SOPs, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections and review flight plans, NOTAMs, and weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with ATC; manage navigation, aircraft systems, and performance throughout all phases of flight.
- Execute precise take-offs and landings across diverse airfields and environments.
- Respond appropriately to abnormal and emergency situations to safeguard passengers, crew, and aircraft.
- Collaborate closely with co-pilots, cabin crew, and ground teams to ensure efficient turnarounds and on-time performance.
- Maintain accurate flight and duty records; complete required reports and participate in recurrent training and professional development.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Valid CPL and current C208 type rating.
- Minimum experience: 800 hours total time, 500 hours PIC, and 25 hours PIC on the C208.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Africa on 6–12 week rotations.
- Strong airmanship, situational awareness, and commitment to safety and SOPs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork with flight and ground operations.
- Preference will be given to Namibian citizens.
