✈️ The Opportunity

Mountain Air Cargo is hiring experienced ATR and C-208 Captains (and First Officers) for our Indianapolis crew base. 🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Operate ATR or Cessna 208 aircraft safely and efficiently in all phases of flight.
  • Comply with all applicable FARs, company procedures, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate closely with Dispatch, Maintenance, and Ground Operations to deliver on-time cargo performance.
  • Complete recurrent and fleet-specific training; champion safety and SMS participation.
  • Provide professional leadership in the cockpit; mentor First Officers where applicable.

Minimums vary by fleet and seat; exceptions may be considered based on prior experience.

ATR Captain Minimums

  • ATP – Multi-Engine Land.
  • First Class Medical.
  • Total Time: 2,500+ hrs.
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 500+ hrs.
  • MEL: 1,000+ hrs.
  • Turbine/Turboprop: 300+ hrs.
  • Meets FAR 121.436(a)(3).
  • Current passport; U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Caravan / ATR First Officer Typical Minimums

  • CPL – Single-Engine Land and/or Multi-Engine Land.
  • Second Class Medical (First Class required for international and some Florida bases).
  • Total Time: 1,200–1,800 hrs.
  • Cross-Country: 500+ hrs.
  • Night: 100+ hrs.
  • Instruments: 75–100 hrs (50–75 hrs in actual flight/aircraft).
  • Multi-Engine Land: 300+ hrs (for ATR track).
  • Turbine: 100+ hrs (preferred/typical).
  • Current passport; U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Note: Specific hour requirements depend on aircraft assignment and seat. Documented equivalents may be reviewed; exceptions can be made based on type and quality of previous experience.
