Bring your captaincy experience to a design-forward Japanese carrier known for meticulous service. We’re hiring experienced flight crew on a captain track, with training at our Kitakyushu facility and operational bases at KKJ or HND.
✈️ The Opportunity
You’ll join StarFlyer’s flight operations as a captain‑track crew member. Initial training is conducted at our Kitakyushu Airport training center, followed by line operations from Kitakyushu or Haneda. Assignments, work locations, and duties may be adjusted by the company to meet operational needs.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Perform safe, efficient flight operations in accordance with StarFlyer SOPs and JCAB regulations.
- Complete company training, checking, and recurrent programs at our Kitakyushu facility.
- Work a shift schedule under a monthly variable‑hours system (average not exceeding 40 hours per week), including overtime as required.
- Uphold StarFlyer’s premium passenger experience and safety culture.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Proven captain experience at a Japanese scheduled airline.
- 1,000+ hours PIC on jet aircraft.
- JCAB Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
- Aviation Radio Operator licence (or recognised equivalent/higher).
- Valid Class 1 aviation medical certificate.
- Aviation English Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- Former StarFlyer flight crew with prior operating experience are welcome to apply.
🌟 Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- Compensation: Determined per company rules based on role, required qualifications, experience, and work history; details provided at interview.
- Allowances: Flight‑duty, overtime, holiday, and late‑night allowances.
- Increases & Reviews: Regular salary increase per company rules; annual pay revision in April.
- Bonuses: Typically twice yearly (summer/winter; FY2025 indicated), subject to company performance.
- Time Off: 121 annual days off (about 10/month) plus paid annual leave.
- Leaves: Maternity, postnatal, childcare, and nursing‑care leave.
- Insurance: Full social insurance (health, employees’ pension, employment, workers’ compensation) and group long‑term disability income protection (GLTD).

📅 Employment Structure
- Permanent route (under age 60): Hired as a permanent employee; 3‑month probation.
- Contract route (age 60+): Hired as flight‑crew contract employee through 31 March 2027; normally renewed annually if continued, with an upper employment age of 68; no probation.
- Start Date: Set by the company.
