Lead from the left seat and the operations desk. We are seeking a hands-on leader to fly revenue missions and steer day-to-day flight operations from our base in Vancouver.

✈️ About the role

In this dual-capacity position, you will serve as aircraft Captain on commercial and corporate missions while managing flight operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and service. You will champion SMS culture, optimize scheduling, and collaborate across maintenance, training, and commercial teams to deliver reliable, customer-focused operations.

🧭 What you will lead

  • Act as Pilot-in-Command on assigned flights, ensuring exemplary airmanship and decision-making under CARs.
  • Oversee day-to-day flight operations, including crew scheduling, dispatch oversight, and operational control.
  • Maintain and improve company SOPs, operations manuals, and checklists; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own regulatory compliance activities and liaise with Transport Canada; prepare for and support internal and external audits.
  • Lead safety initiatives: monitor SMS performance, investigate hazards, manage risk, and run safety meetings.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for aircraft readiness, MEL control, and return-to-service priorities.
  • Plan and approve flight scheduling and trip execution to balance safety, customer needs, and crew duty limits.
  • Support training and standards: mentor crews, oversee checking plans, and promote strong CRM.
  • Contribute to budgeting and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, resilient operations.
  • Represent the operation with clients and stakeholders to uphold a reliable, service-driven brand.

🧰 What you bring

  • Valid Canadian Transport Canada licence: ATPL or Commercial with IATRA and Group 1 IFR.
  • Current Category 1 medical and eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Proven multi-crew, multi-engine experience suitable for commercial charter/commuter operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CARs Subparts 703/704/705, flight and duty time limits, and operational control.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to flight operations management, including SMS, QA, emergency response planning, and audit readiness.
  • Strong operational planning, risk management, and decision-making skills under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership; able to set standards, coach crews, and foster a just culture.
  • Comfort with EFB platforms, scheduling tools, and data-driven performance tracking.
