Jet Linx Aviation, in partnership with Southwest Airlines and CAE, offers a four- to five-year ab initio pathway based in Omaha, NE. Train with CAE, build quality flight time on Jet Linx’s FAA Part 135 fleet, and prepare for the next stage of your aviation career through the Destination 225° lifecycle.
✈️ About the Pathway
This structured, career-lifecycle program is designed for motivated candidates, including those with no prior pilot experience. Cadets complete rigorous ab initio training with CAE, progress through Southwest’s Destination 225° milestones, and build flight time as part of Jet Linx’s professional Part 135 operations. A minimum two-year commitment to Jet Linx is required.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Participate in CAE ab initio ground school and flight training while progressing through Destination 225°.
- Build high-quality flight time on Jet Linx’s FAA Part 135 fleet under professional operating standards.
- Maintain accurate, current records of flight times, ratings, and training; remain in good academic and training standing.
- Meet safety and compliance standards, including TSA background checks, criminal-history records checks, and FAA/DOT drug testing.
- Satisfy Southwest Airlines prescreening requirements and embody Jet Linx’s culture and values.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Program admission: Southwest Airlines acceptance letter into Destination 225° and active enrollment in the affiliated CAE ab initio program.
- Documentation: Recommendation letter confirming good standing in coursework/flight training and a current resume detailing flight times, ratings, and experience.
- Certificates & ratings: CAE ab initio degree/certification; Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings; meets R-ATP requirements.
- Medical: Current U.S. DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Eligibility: Authorized to work full-time in the United States without company visa sponsorship now or in the future; valid passport permitting travel into and out of the U.S.; valid driver’s license; age 21+ at time of application; proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; willing to relocate; minimum two-year commitment to Jet Linx.
