Business Jet First Officer (Home-Based Across the U.S.)

  • Location: United States (multiple domiciles; home-basing available)
  • Operations: Domestic and international
  • License: ATP (FAA) or ATPL equivalent; ATP written complete and able to qualify for checkride
  • Medical: Current First Class Medical
  • Passport: Required; ability to obtain CANPASS
  • Eligibility: Legal right to work in the United States
  • Experience: 3,000+ total flight hours minimum
  • Reporting: Fleet Chief Pilot (duty assignments and training)

✈️ What you’ll do

  • Pilot assigned Flexjet aircraft on domestic and international missions, delivering safe, smooth, and professional operations.
  • Act functionally under the Pilot-in-Command, maintaining exemplary crew coordination and CRM.
  • Provide elevated owner service: greet passengers, assist with seating and luggage, and deliver concise briefings.
  • Adhere to the Crew Flight Manual and Flight Deck Handbook; follow all company SOPs and checklists.
  • Uphold all FAA, ICAO, and international operations standards; ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and evacuations if required.
  • Maintain current medicals and qualifications; promptly report any changes affecting performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, reliable, and on-time operations.

🧭 What you bring

  • Minimums: ATP minimums (written complete; able to qualify for checkride) and 3,000+ hours total time.
  • Certifications: Current First Class Medical; valid passport; eligible for CANPASS.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Working knowledge of FAR Part 135, Part 91 Subpart K, and Part 91; thorough understanding of FAA, ICAO, and international ops regulations.
  • Experience: Previous Part 135/91K or corporate jet experience desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Aviation, Aviation Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Readiness: Able to report to assigned domicile within two hours, regardless of weather conditions; willing to reside near assigned domicile.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable with word processing, email, and web-based applications.
  • Professionalism: Passionate attention to detail and a well-groomed, polished presence.
  • Travel: Ability to travel in and out of the U.S. and to all destinations Flexjet serves.
