✈️ The Opportunity
Vietnam Airlines is expanding operations from early 2026 and is seeking experienced B787 First Officers to join its growing widebody team. This is a rare chance to fly for a respected national carrier, with established expat support and base options in two of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cities.
🧭 Bases & Roster
- Bases: Hanoi (HAN) or Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)
- Rosters: Choice of patterns; commute and non-commute options available
- Travel: Tickets on Vietnam Airlines’ network for commuting as applicable
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Serve as First Officer on the Boeing 787 fleet for scheduled operations from Vietnam Airlines’ Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City base.
- Operate in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements to deliver safe, efficient long-haul services.
- Work closely with a diverse, professional flight deck and cabin crew team representing Vietnam’s flag carrier.

✅ What You’ll Bring
- Total time: Minimum 1,500 hours
- Type experience: At least 1,000 hours as B787 First Officer
- Recency: Last B787 flight within the previous 9 months preferred (may be flexible)
- Licensing: Valid ATPL (ICAO), or CPL with Frozen ATPL, plus current B787 type rating
- OPC: Valid B787 OPC for at least 2 months from start date
- Medical: Valid Class 1 Medical
- Height: Male > 165 cm; Female > 160 cm
- Age: Male under 58; Female under 53
