Boeing 787 Technical Pilot – Flight Operations Liaison

Riyadh Air is seeking an experienced Technical Pilot to join our Boeing Management Team. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary Flight Operations liaison with Boeing, other airline operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and suppliers—representing Flight Operations on all Boeing technical matters. You will help resolve new and ongoing fleet issues, translate complex technical data into clear operational policy, and ensure our Boeing 787 Dreamliner operations remain safe, efficient, and compliant.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Flight Operations and Boeing, other airline operators, OEMs, and key suppliers for all Boeing technical issues.
  • Represent Flight Operations on technical programs, product updates, and fleet initiatives—assessing operational impact and driving timely, high-quality solutions.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve new and ongoing fleet concerns, collaborating with Engineering, Safety, Training, and Regulatory teams.
  • Translate complex technical data (e.g., service bulletins, FCOM/AFM changes, MEL/CDL updates) into clear, practical SOPs, checklists, and flight crew communications.
  • Support the development and validation of Boeing 787 operational procedures, training content, and technical briefings.
  • Monitor reliability, event, and trend data; recommend mitigations and procedural refinements to enhance safety and operational performance.
  • Contribute to modification programs and equipment selections by providing flight operations input to OEMs and suppliers.
  • Act as a Flight Operations expert during operational disruptions, offering timely technical guidance to crews and operations control.

🧰 What you bring

  • ATPL (ICAO) with valid Class 1 Medical.
  • Holds or has held Check Airman approval or equivalent (TRI/TRE).
  • 2+ years in a supervisory/management role within a large airline flight operations environment.
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively with manufacturers, regulators, and internal stakeholders, turning technical insight into cockpit-ready guidance.
  • Strong analytical judgment, clear communication, and a safety-first mindset.

🌟 Minimum experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a commercial pilot, with extensive flying on aircraft types relevant to the Riyadh Air fleet, including but not limited to the Boeing 787 family.
  • 5+ years of command experience on Boeing aircraft.
  • Currency: 150 hours in command within the last 12 months.
  • Type rating: Required.
