Boeing 777 Captain — Cargo Operations
Join Challenge Group’s Boeing 777 cargo operation in Luqa as a Commander (Captain). You will lead our long‑range freighter missions with full authority over flight safety, crew, aircraft, cargo, supernumeraries, and all operational decisions from preparation through touchdown.
✈️ Role overview
As the Commander, you hold ultimate responsibility for the safe and compliant conduct of each flight. You will make airworthiness and operational go/no‑go decisions, direct flight preparation, and ensure every sector is executed to the highest professional standards.
🧭 Key responsibilities
- Exercise full responsibility and authority for flight safety and conduct.
- Safeguard the crew, the aircraft, its cargo, and any supernumeraries.
- Make airworthiness and operational decisions, including go/no‑go.
- Ensure strict adherence to standing regulations and clearances from competent authorities.
- Operate in accordance with any route or area restrictions mandated by the authority.
- Lead comprehensive crew briefings covering all flight‑specific information.
- Oversee flight preparation, documentation, and operational compliance.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Valid EASA Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011.
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- If Type Rated (B777):
- 2,000 hours PIC on a medium/heavy jet.
- 500 hours on type as Commander or on a Boeing heavy jet.
- If Non‑Type Rated:
- 6,000 hours total time.
- PIC time on a medium/heavy jet (as specified by the operator).

Home base in Luqa, Malta, operating Boeing 777 freighter missions within Challenge Group’s global cargo network.
