We’re hiring seasoned Direct Entry Captains to command our Boeing 737NG operations, mentor flight crews, and deliver safe, reliable service across our network. ✈️ The Opportunity
As a Direct Entry Captain, you’ll exercise final authority over each flight, champion a robust safety culture, and set the standard for operational excellence. You’ll partner closely with System Operations Control, lead high-performing crews, and ensure every departure meets FAA and company requirements.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Exercise final authority for the safe conduct of each flight, safeguarding crew, passengers, and cargo.
- Lead, coach, and mentor First Officers and crewmembers; model effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and open safety communication.
- Verify aircraft airworthiness and documentation; ensure compliance with FAA and company policies before departure.
- Review, validate, and approve flight plans, considering weather, performance, fuel, routing, altitude, terrain, MEL/CDL items, and regulatory compliance.
- Make timely operational decisions on flight initiation, delay, cancellation, or diversion in coordination with System Operations Control.
- Ensure adherence to company flight locating procedures and maintain required communications.
- Oversee fueling operations, cargo security, weight and balance, and passenger safety briefings.
- Report irregularities, mechanical discrepancies, and any suspected FAA violations to company leadership.
- Maintain accurate flight, duty, and training records within company systems.
- Uphold professional standards of appearance, communication, fitness for duty, and customer service.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Valid FAA ATP certificate.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- B737 type rating required.
- Minimum 7,000 total flight hours (turboprop and/or turbojet time in operating seat).
- Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial aircraft.
- Minimum 1,000 hours of FAA Part 121 operations experience.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Valid U.S. Passport (or equivalent enabling unrestricted worldwide travel).
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- U.S. work authorization (U.S. Passport holder or Green Card holder).
- Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol testing; CHRC clearance; ongoing compliance with testing requirements.
- Meets all FAR 121.436 requirements for Direct Entry Captain status.
- Residency within 2 hours of Miami (MIA), Youngstown (YNG), or Killeen (GRK).
