Texel Air is recruiting experienced Boeing 737NG Captains to take command in a fast-paced cargo environment. You’ll lead safe, efficient operations, set the tone for professionalism on the flight deck, and uphold our culture of safety and operational excellence. This role is based in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

🧭 Your Mission

Lead 737NG cargo operations from pushback to parking, applying sound judgement, disciplined SOP adherence, and strong leadership in all phases of flight. You’ll be a role model for safety and a champion of continuous improvement across the operation.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Exercise overall command for safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the B737NG.
  • Plan, brief, and execute flights in a dynamic cargo schedule; adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Lead the flight deck with calm authority, mentoring First Officers and fostering a just culture.
  • Adhere to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and company policies at all times.
  • Apply safety-driven decision making informed by SMS and Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) insights.
  • Coordinate effectively with dispatch, ground, maintenance, and cargo teams for on-time performance and load integrity.
  • Maintain strong technical standards across aircraft systems, performance, and human factors.

🧾 Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid ATPL (UK CAA / EASA / FAA / ICAO) with B737NG Type Rating (license required: ATPL_ICAO or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5,000 total flight hours, including at least 2,000 hours on multi-pilot aircraft.
  • Minimum 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command on B737NG.
  • Current/recent on type (last flight within 12 months).
  • ICAO English Level 5 or higher.

Operational & Safety

  • Recent B737NG command experience with unwavering SOP discipline.
  • Proven leadership and sound operational judgement in commercial operations.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Understanding of Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and safety-driven decision making.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, performance, and human factors.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Flight Safety, FDM, or Safety Investigation.
