✈️ Boeing 737 Freighter First Officer
Join West Atlantic UK and fly the Boeing 737-800 and 737-400 freighter fleet supporting scheduled cargo networks and ad-hoc charter operations. You’ll help move everything from express parcels and automotive components to specialist freight and dangerous goods—safely, efficiently, and on time.
🧭 Your mission
- Operate the Boeing 737 freighter safely and efficiently, adhering to company SOPs and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Deliver time-critical freight reliably across our cargo network and on ad-hoc charters.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and load control to ensure compliant loading, accurate weight & balance, and on-time performance.
- Manage predominantly night schedules and quick turnarounds with professionalism and care.
- Uphold the highest standards of airmanship, CRM, and threat & error management, including the carriage of specialist freight and DG.

- Readiness to operate predominantly at night in a time-critical cargo setting.
- Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset when working with specialist freight and DG.
- Ability to swim 25 metres unaided.
- Valid passport and a UK-recognised driving licence.
- Professional, customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- PIC time: Minimum 70 hours
- Licence: UK CAA fATPL with IR, MCC, ME, and UPRT
- Type rating: Not required — training provided
- Medical: Class 1
- English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
- Preferred: Previous cargo operations experience
- Right to work: Sponsorship not available; candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK
🎓 Training & onboarding
Type rating is not required. Successful candidates receive company-provided Boeing 737 freighter training and a thorough induction into West Atlantic UK procedures, cargo-handling standards, and safety management systems.
🕘 Roster & operations
This role primarily supports night flying for time-critical cargo schedules and short-notice ad-hoc missions. Flexibility, punctuality, and resilience are essential.
