Boeing 737 First Officer (Type Rated) – London Gatwick
Ascend Airways, a newly established UK AOC holder and growing ACMI provider, is expanding its Boeing 737 operations from London Gatwick. We’re seeking skilled, type-rated First Officers ready to fly in a high-performing team and grow their careers on a dynamic, professional flight deck.
🧭 The opportunity
Based at London Gatwick, you’ll operate the Boeing 737 across varied ACMI missions, upholding the highest standards of safety, airmanship, and customer service while supporting a modern, fast-growing operation.
📋 What you’ll do
- Operate the Boeing 737 in accordance with UK CAA-approved OM and SOPs.
- Collaborate with the Captain and crew to deliver safe, efficient, on-time operations.
- Prepare and review flight plans, performance data, NOTAMs, and weather to support sound decision-making.
- Communicate professionally with ATC, ground teams, and customers.
- Champion a just culture and proactive safety reporting for continuous improvement.
- Maintain all training, currency, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support rostered flying typical of ACMI operations.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- UK CAA ATPL(A) or fATPL(A) with Boeing 737 type rating (current or expired by no more than two years).
- Minimum 500 hours on Boeing 737 aircraft.
- UK / EASA Class 1 medical certificate without restrictions (other than for spectacles/contact lenses).
- Willing to maintain a home address within 90 minutes’ travelling time of London Gatwick.
- Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.
- Age limits up to 65, in line with current legislation.
- High level of English language proficiency.
- High-performing, professional attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for aviation, commitment to success and growth, and a flexible approach to rostered hours.
