Empire Airlines is hiring a Part 121 ATR Captain to deliver safe, efficient, and professional flight operations from our Missoula (MSO) base. You’ll lead the operation through every phase of flight while ensuring regulatory compliance, cargo safety, and outstanding crew leadership.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Act as Pilot in Command of ATR operations across all phases of flight, maintaining command during normal and unexpected situations.
- Monitor weather, flight conditions, and cargo safety; make sound go/no-go decisions and select alternates when required.
- Verify fuel requirements and loading; ensure accurate weight-and-balance and performance planning.
- Coordinate with stations, towers, ATC, dispatch, and maintenance; promptly report any unusual aircraft behavior.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance, including FAA reporting, rest requirements, and company directives.
- Record flight and crew times with Dispatch; submit accurate operational documents on time.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate crewmembers; model ethical, professional conduct aligned with Empire Airlines’ mission.
- Stay current with company manuals, policies, and procedural/regulatory changes; review daily company communications.
🧰 What you bring
- Certificates: ATP (unrestricted or restricted) with MEL rating.
- Medical: Current first-class medical certificate.
- Experience: 2,500 hours total time; 1,000 hours PIC; 1,000 hours multi-engine; 300 hours turbine or turboprop; 500 hours of crew time meeting 14 CFR 121.436 requirements.
- Currency: IFR currency and proficiency.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Compliance: Participation in the company’s FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Program.
