Step into the Commander seat operating the ATR 72-600 on regional services for SAS. As PIC, you will take full responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of every flight, leading the flight deck and partnering with cabin crew to deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer service.

Command the ATR 72-600 across a dynamic regional network for SAS, upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and passenger care. You will be the standard-bearer for SOPs and an advocate for teamwork on every sector.

  • Assume overall responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient conduct of each flight as PIC.
  • Lead the flight deck team, foster effective CRM, and collaborate closely with cabin crew.
  • Exercise sound judgment and timely decision‑making in changing operational conditions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to EASA regulations, company SOPs, and operational policies.
  • Deliver a consistently positive customer experience aligned with SAS service standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

🧾 Minimum requirements

  • PIC time: 500 hours (minimum)
  • Type rating: Not required — ATR 72-600 training provided
  • Flight time notes: EASA ATPL, CPL, or MPL
  • Licence required: CPL, IR, ME
  • Accepted licences: EASA only
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO English: ELP Level 5 or higher
  • Right to work: Required in the country of employment; sponsorship not provided

Candidates must meet all minimum requirements at the time of application.

🎓 Training and onboarding

Direct Entry Captains without an ATR type rating will receive a full ATR 72-600 type rating course followed by line training to company standards.
