🧭 The opportunity
Based in St. Maarten, you will command ATR 42 operations across a diverse Caribbean network. This role suits a safety-focused leader who enjoys hands-on flying, dynamic weather environments, and delivering an outstanding passenger experience while mentoring and developing the flight deck team.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Command ATR 42 flights with full responsibility for safety, compliance, and on-time performance.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, performance and fuel calculations, and risk assessments.
- Lead the crew with strong CRM, fostering teamwork and clear communication.
- Operate to company SOPs and regulatory requirements throughout all phases of flight.
- Exercise sound judgment in dynamic weather and regional airfield environments.
- Deliver a professional, friendly service that reflects pride in the region and the brand.
- Support training and mentoring of First Officers; contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
- Complete accurate post-flight documentation and debriefs.
🌟 What you bring
- Unrestricted ATPL (ICAO/EASA/FAA) with a current Class 1 Medical.
- Strong multi-crew, multi-engine turbine experience; proven leadership as PIC.
- ATR 42/72 type rating or recent turboprop command experience preferred; type training may be considered for standout candidates.
- Hours and recency commensurate with captaincy on regional turboprop operations.
- Excellent decision-making, situational awareness, and CRM skills.
- Professional English proficiency; additional Dutch or French language skills are a plus.
- Valid passport and ability to meet immigration and work authorization requirements for the base and operating network.

- Experience in Caribbean or island operations.
- Line training or training captain exposure.
- Familiarity with performance-limited and weather-impacted operations.
