✈️ The Role
As Captain, you’ll serve as Pilot in Command on ATR 42 flights, setting the tone for safety, professionalism, and operational excellence. You’ll lead a skilled crew, ensure full regulatory compliance, and deliver a smooth, on-time operation while communicating clearly with dispatch, maintenance, and customer stakeholders.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Act as PIC for ATR 42 operations in accordance with FAA and company policies under Part 121.
- Lead and mentor crew members, model exemplary CRM, and maintain a positive safety culture.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance, weight and balance, fuel planning, and weather/NOTAM review.
- Maintain IFR currency and proficiency; complete required training, checks, and qualifications, including Part 121.436.
- Coordinate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and station teams to ensure on-time, compliant operations.
- Represent Empire Airlines with professionalism in all customer and stakeholder interactions.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Certificates: ATP (ATPL equivalent) with MEL rating.
- Medical: Current FAA First Class Medical.
- Flight Time Minimums:
- 2,500 hours total time
- 1,000 hours PIC
- 1,000 hours MEL
- 300 hours turbine/turboprop
- 500 hours crew time
- Meets Part 121.436 Pilot Qualification requirements.
- IFR currency and proficiency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; sufficient manual dexterity, speaking, seeing, and hearing to perform essential duties.
- Willingness to comply with the company’s FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Program.
