Step into the left seat on Japan’s trusted regional network. We’re seeking a seasoned ATR 42 Captain to lead safe, efficient operations and mentor crews. Non-Type Rated candidates are welcome – full type training is provided for qualified captains holding a JCAB ATPL.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Lead safe, compliant ATR 42 operations from preflight through shutdown, upholding company SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Exercise sound command decision-making across performance, fuel, weather, MEL/deferral, and dispatch considerations.
- Foster strong CRM, mentoring First Officers and supporting a just culture and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate effectively in Japanese and English on the flight deck, with ATC, ground teams, and operations control.
- Champion safety reporting, on-time performance, and customer-focused operations across Japan’s regional network.
🧰 What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements)
- Valid JCAB ATPL and current Class 1 medical.
- ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
- Fluency in Japanese suitable for operational and cockpit communications.
- Aviation radio operator qualification.
- Minimum PIC time: 500 hours.
- Must have more than 500 hours of flight time as a Captain in a Japanese scheduled air transportation company.
- Ability to complete company training and ATR 42 type rating program.
🌟 Preferred
- Experience as a Check Pilot, Instructor, or in an aviation management role.
- Demonstrated leadership in training, standards, or safety initiatives.
