Assistant Director of Operations (Part 135) – Pilot & Operations Leader

You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and company leadership (President, Vice President, Chief Pilot, and Charter Department) to keep flights safe, efficient, and compliant—without unnecessary bureaucracy.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Serve as a Part 135 line pilot while assisting with day-to-day flight operations and operational control.
• Provide leadership and support to the pilot group; coordinate closely with the Vice President and Charter Department on daily operations.
• Proactively resolve scheduling, crew, aircraft, weather, maintenance, and other operational issues before they become problems.
• Promote consistent compliance with company procedures, OpSpecs, and applicable FAA regulations.
• Assist with FAA correspondence, inspections, surveillance, and certificate-management matters.
• Own the revision and upkeep of company manuals—including the GOM, Training Manual, and related policies and procedures.
• Support pilot training, standardization, and communication; help strengthen our safety and compliance culture.
• Continuously review operational practices and identify opportunities to improve procedures and performance.

🧰 What you’ll bring

• Certificates: ATP (unrestricted or restricted).
• Experience: At least three years of qualifying PIC experience under Part 121 or Part 135.
• Thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 135 operational requirements.
• Exceptional communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Comfort moving seamlessly between flying duties and operational leadership responsibilities.
• Note: No specific total-flight-time, PIC-hour, multi-engine-hour, or aircraft-type minimums are stipulated for this role.
