✈️ Program Overview

Selected candidates work as A&P mechanics with American Flyers while receiving monthly flight training scholarships to earn their Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot certificates. High performers may continue with CFI/CFII training. Upon completion, you may pursue employment opportunities with American Flyers as a Flight Instructor or continue as an A&P mechanic.

  • Perform A&P maintenance duties in a professional training fleet environment.
  • Progress through a structured pilot training pathway supported by monthly scholarships.
  • Balance shop responsibilities with scheduled flight training and ground study.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards in both maintenance and flight operations.

🌟 Requirements

  • Valid A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) certificates.
  • Ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Successful interview completion.
  • Age 17+ (FAA minimum for Private Pilot training).
  • Valid FAA Class 3 Medical Certificate (or higher).

Note: Pilot certificates (PPL/CPL) are earned through the program; they are not required to start.
