Alaska Seaplanes is hiring a permanent Amphibious Caravan Captain to connect Southeast Alaska’s communities with safe, reliable, and memorable service. Fly year-round from our Juneau base across fjords, glaciers, and island towns—on both water and runway—while upholding a gold standard of safety and customer care.

✈️ The Role

As a Line Pilot and Amphibious Caravan Captain, you will conduct single-pilot operations across Southeast Alaska’s challenging and rewarding environment. You’ll operate safely and efficiently, deliver exceptional customer service, and adapt to dynamic coastal weather while flying a mix of scheduled and on-demand routes to remote communities.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Captain the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan Amphibian on both water and runway operations.
  • Execute single-pilot IFR and VFR flights safely and efficiently.
  • Plan and brief flights, evaluate weather and performance, and manage risk to the highest standard.
  • Deliver a friendly, professional customer experience for residents, visitors, and cargo clients.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and station teams to keep the operation running smoothly.
  • Uphold company SOPs, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety-first culture.

🧰 Minimum Requirements

  • Total Time: 1,500 hours
  • SES: Minimum 300 hours SES
  • License: CPL with IR
  • License Holders: FAA only
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Type Rating: Not required — training provided
  • Visa Sponsorship: Not provided

🌟 Preferred Experience

  • Previous Alaska flight time.
  • Time in type (C208) or similar equipment.
  • Strong seaplane background in coastal or mountainous environments.
