PSA Airlines is launching a comprehensive Pilot Cadet Program designed to take promising aviators from private pilot certification through airline operations. Build time with mentorship and internships, receive tuition assistance, and access one of the industry’s fastest upgrade timelines—plus a flow-through pathway to American Airlines.

  • ATP-CTP course fully covered (approx. $5,000 value), plus hotel and ground transportation.

🧭 Who we’re looking for

  • Valid Private Pilot Certificate (PPL) at minimum.
  • Currently a flight student or a CFI actively instructing.
  • No more than three checkride failures; no NTSB-determined negligent accidents/incidents.
  • Able to obtain: First-Class Medical Certificate, valid passport, and FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; fluent in English (speak, read, write).
  • Pass a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).

🧰 Flight time and eligibility

  • Must ultimately meet ATP (1,500 hours) or R-ATP (1,000–1,250 hours) requirements to enter airline training.
  • R-ATP track: Apply with no more than 700 total hours.
  • ATP track: Apply with no more than 1,200 total hours.

Note: Hour thresholds reflect program eligibility caps at time of application.

  • Build hours with structured mentorship and financial support.
  • Complete ATP-CTP with covered tuition, hotel, and ground transportation.
  • Upon meeting ATP/R-ATP minimums, transition into PSA’s new-hire training pipeline.
  • Advance at PSA with industry-leading upgrade times and flow through to American Airlines per the flow agreement.
