Join Africa World Airlines as a Captain on our Embraer 145 regional jet fleet. You will hold full authority for the safe and efficient operation of each flight, lead a professional crew with confidence, and represent our airline with discipline and distinction.
✈️ The Mission
As Captain, you command the complete flight cycle—from pre‑flight planning through post‑flight documentation—ensuring uncompromising safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence on every sector.
🧭 Key Responsibilities
- Exercise full authority for the safety of the aircraft, passengers, crew, and cargo from boarding to shutdown.
- Lead the crew decisively in normal, abnormal, and emergency situations; ensure all persons on board comply with commands essential to safety.
- Conduct thorough pre‑flight assessments: weather, aircraft serviceability, mass and balance, fuel, and emergency equipment status.
- Execute all company SOPs and checklists with discipline and precision; complete all required flight records.
- Verify that weather and operational conditions meet company minima for the planned route and duration.
- Ensure the aircraft and required equipment are serviceable and ready for use; confirm weight and balance remain within limits.
- Operate strictly in accordance with the rules, laws, and regulations of all states in which flights are conducted.
- Uphold the highest standards of personal discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Africa World Airlines.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- 3,000+ hours total time, including 1,000+ hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 2,000+ hours on multi‑crew turboprop or jet aircraft.
- Valid ICAO ATPL with EMB145 type rating, or a valid Ghana ATPL.
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum ICAO Level 4 English proficiency.
- Valid passport.
