Riyadh Air is seeking an accomplished Technical Pilot to join our Airbus Management team. In this hybrid operational and technical role, you will represent Flight Operations on all Airbus technical matters, act as the primary liaison with Airbus and key industry partners, and continue to operate on the line to keep your insights current and actionable.
✈️ About the role
As the airline’s Airbus technical focal point, you will drive safe, efficient, and standardized operations by partnering with Airbus, other operators, OEMs, and suppliers. You will translate complex technical issues into clear operational guidance, support the resolution of fleet concerns, and bring real-world perspective from active line flying.
🧭 Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison with Airbus, other airline operators, OEMs, and suppliers on Airbus technical topics.
- Represent Flight Operations on all Airbus-related technical issues, addressing new and ongoing fleet concerns and operational technical matters.
- Operate on the line to maintain currency and provide data-driven, practical input to procedures and recommendations.
🧰 What you bring
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience as a commercial pilot with extensive flying experience on aircraft types relevant to the Riyadh Air fleet, including but not limited to A320 family aircraft.
- Minimum 5+ years’ command experience on narrowbody or widebody Airbus aircraft.
- Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory/management role within a large airline flight operations environment.
- Holding or having held a Check Airman approval or equivalent (e.g., TRI/TRE).
- Valid ICAO English Level 5 or higher.
- Applicants must be below 59 years of age.
🌟 Certifications & recency
- Valid ICAO ATPL and unrestricted Class One medical certificate.
- Minimum 150 hours in command within the last 12 months prior to joining.
- License required: ATPL_ICAO
📍 Operations
- Base: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Role sits within Riyadh Air’s Airbus Management team and includes regular line operations.
You will collaborate closely with Flight Operations leadership to ensure technical insights translate into safe, efficient, and standardized procedures across the Airbus fleet.
