Take your airline career to the flight deck of the Airbus A320. As a Frontier Airlines First Officer, you’ll fly a modern fleet, deliver safe and reliable operations, and grow with training and mentorship—no A320 type rating required.
✈️ The Role
As a Frontier A320 First Officer, you’ll operate across our network with a sharp focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork. You’ll execute all phases of flight in accordance with SOPs and regulations, exercise sound judgment in dynamic environments, and deliver a welcoming, on‑time experience for our customers.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Conduct preflight planning, performance calculations, and thorough aircraft inspections.
- Operate the Airbus A320 series to the highest standards of safety, CRM, and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate clearly with ATC, crew, and dispatch; manage normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures.
- Prioritize passenger and crew wellbeing while balancing operational, weather, and regulatory constraints.
- Participate in recurrent training and checking; embrace continuous learning and feedback.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- Total time: 1,500 hours
- License required: ATP
- Accepted licenses: FAA
- Medical: Class 1
- Type rating: Not required (Training Provided)
🌟 Preferred Experience
- Total time: 2,500 hours (preferred)
- Multi‑engine fixed‑wing: 750 hours (preferred)
- Pilot in command (PIC): 500 hours (preferred)
- Jet/turboprop: 500 hours (preferred)
🧾 Certificates & Compliance
- FCC permit: FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit
- Passport: Valid, machine‑readable passport with ability to travel in and out of the United States; or valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States
- Background: Ability to pass pre‑employment drug testing and background checks
- English proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write English
🧭 Readiness to Succeed
- Ability to travel in and out of all the cities/countries served by Frontier Airlines.
- Ability to relocate as operational needs require.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays, overnights, and “red‑eye” pairings.
- Ability to adjust to day/night flying schedules and changing operational demands.
- Well‑groomed, professional appearance at all times in uniform.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Proven problem‑solving skills; reacts positively to difficult situations.
- Leadership qualities: empathy, accountability, ethics, and dependability.
