Take command on the Airbus A320 Family in a permanent role with a safety-first, training-focused European operator. If you’re a current or recent Airbus commander with solid multi-crew jet experience, we’d love to hear from you.
🧭 Role highlights
- Lead safe, efficient flight operations on the A320 Family across a multi-base European network.
- Operate within a high-compliance environment with strong training support (including OCC/CCQ where applicable).
- Be a positive ambassador for safety, service, and crew leadership on every sector.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Exercise full PIC authority in line with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a multi-crew flight deck, fostering effective CRM and a just culture.
- Deliver on-time performance while prioritising safety and passenger experience.
- Maintain currency, conduct thorough pre-/post-flight duties, and support continuous improvement.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- Total Time: 3,500+ hours
- PIC Time: 800+ hours
- PIC in Type: 500+ hours on A320 Family / A330 / A340 (combined acceptable)
- Multi-Engine: 2,000+ hours
- Jet: 800+ hours
- Heavy Multi-Crew: Minimum 2,000 hours on a multi-crew, multi-engine jet >30,000 kg MTOW with an established airline, cargo, private operator, or military transport.
- PIC on Heavy Jet: Minimum 800 hours PIC on a multi-crew, multi-engine jet >30,000 kg (no turboprop PIC considered).
- Type Rating: A320/A330/A340 listed on licence (type-rated required).
📜 Licensing, currency & medical
- Licence: ATPL (EASA Part-FCL preferred; UK licences accepted for application only) or a National Licence compliant with ICAO standards.
- Validation: ICAO licences will require Maltese TM-CAD validation.
- Not accepted: FAA licences cannot be considered.
- Last Flight: Operated as Commander on A320/A330/A340 within 36 months prior to course start.
- Rating Currency: Application must be within 36 months of the most recent A320/A330/A340 “Valid Until” date (rating must not have been expired for more than 3 years at OCC/CCQ course commencement).
- Medical: Class 1
- English Proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher
- Open to Licence Holders: EASA, ICAO
