Take command of the Airbus A320 family and lead safe, efficient operations across Japan. This permanent position welcomes non-type-rated Captains; full A320 training is provided for qualified JCAB ATPL holders.
🧭 Role overview
As Captain, you will exercise overall responsibility for flight safety, crew leadership, and on-time performance on A320 family operations, upholding the highest standards of a Japanese scheduled airline environment.
- Operate Airbus A320 family flights as Pilot-in-Command, ensuring safety, compliance, and passenger care.
- Lead and mentor flight and cabin crew, fostering a just culture and positive CRM.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, briefings, and decision-making in line with company SOPs and JCAB/ICAO regulations.
- Manage abnormal and emergency situations with composure and professionalism.
- Represent the airline with clear, courteous communication in Japanese with crew, ATC, and ground stakeholders.
🧰 What you bring
- Language: Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written).
- Radio: Possess an air radio operator license (or equivalent or higher).
- Flight time: Minimum PIC 1,000 hours; Jet 1,000 hours.
- Experience: Proven Captain experience with a Japanese scheduled airline, including 1,000+ hours PIC on jet aircraft.
- License: Valid ATPL issued by JCAB.
- Medical: Current Class 1 medical.
- English: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
- Type rating: Not required — training provided for successful candidates (NTR).
- Work rights: Already authorized to live and work in Japan (visa sponsorship not available).
