✈️ About the role
As an Airbus A220 First Officer, you will operate in a dynamic multi‑crew environment, delivering safe, efficient, and passenger‑focused operations across a diverse network. You will work closely with the Captain and cabin crew, applying sound airmanship, strong situational awareness, and disciplined adherence to SOPs and company policies.
- Execute all flight phases in accordance with SOPs, regulations, and operational directives.
- Demonstrate excellent CRM, communication, and decision‑making under varying conditions.
- Support precise flight planning, performance, and fuel management.
- Champion safety, threat and error management, and continuous improvement.
- Embrace type training and recurrent checking to maintain high standards.
🧭 Minimum requirements
- Total Time: Minimum 500 hours flight time in a fixed‑wing aircraft
- Instrument Approaches: Experience with IAP 2D and IAP 3D
- Plus at least one of:
- 200 hours in command of a multi‑engine aircraft (excluding PICUS), or
- 200 hours in command of a turbine‑powered fixed‑wing aircraft, or
- 200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of two pilots (multi‑crew aircraft)
- Licence: Frozen ATPL, IR, ME (CASA)
- Medical: Class 1
- English Proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 6
- Work Rights: Passport with the right to work in Australia and on the NJS network
- Type Rating: Not required — full A220 training provided
