Turn your passion for flight into a profession. Air India’s Cadet Pilot Programme offers a rigorously structured pathway that develops aspiring aviators from classroom foundations through to cockpit training, guided by expert instructors and a proven curriculum.
🧭 Programme Overview
This entry pathway is designed to build the knowledge, skills, and experience required to become a capable commercial airline pilot. Through a guided curriculum and mentorship from seasoned instructors, you will progress step by step from theoretical learning to practical cockpit training.
🧰 Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens or OCI holders.
- Age: 18 to 30 years.
- Language: Good command of written and spoken English.
- Height: Minimum 158 cm.
- Education: High School Education Certificate (National Institute of Open Schooling accepted) with 60% in 10+2 overall, including at least 60% in English, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Health: Good physical and mental health.
- Medical: Must clear a DGCA Class 1 Medical examination before starting flight training.
🌟 Selection Process
- Stage 1 — Screening: Applications reviewed against defined eligibility criteria.
- Stage 2 — Online assessment: Evaluation of cognitive and behavioural skills.
- Stage 3 — Personal interview: Shortlisted candidates proceed to an interview.
- Reapplication policy: Applicants who have completed an assessment may reapply only after a three‑month cooling period from the date of that assessment.
📨 How to Apply
Submit your application by 30 April 2026. Only candidates who meet all stated eligibility requirements will progress to the selection stages. Clearing the DGCA Class 1 Medical is required before commencing flight training.
