🧭 The Mission

Join a trusted air medical team providing life-saving fixed-wing transport across the region. As the Captain, you’ll lead every mission from the left seat, ensuring safe, timely launches and outstanding coordination with our Global Operations Center.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Pilot in Command and final authority for all flights conducted under FAR Part 135.
  • Exercise Tier 2 Operational Control in accordance with AirMed International’s General Operating Manual and OpSpecs.
  • Coordinate with the Global Operations Center to ensure the aircraft is mission-ready and meet a 30-minute launch window.
  • Lead and supervise assigned crew members; model a patient-first, safety-first culture.
  • Conduct all preflight planning, weight and balance, performance, weather and risk assessments; complete required documentation.
  • Perform aircraft prep as needed, including de-icing, towing, and maneuvering the aircraft in and out of the hangar.
  • Attend required meetings, training events, and check flights.
  • Report to the Base Lead Pilot, Chief Pilot, and Director of Operations.

🌟 What You’ll Bring

  • Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, San Antonio, Texas.
  • Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate.
  • BE-200PL21 and C-90 PIC Qualification (hold or attainable).
  • Experience: 2,500 airplane total time; 500 airplane multi-engine land; 1,000 PIC airplane; 100 hours in type; 75 instrument hours (50 actual).
  • Valid U.S. passport and valid, unexpired driver’s license.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or higher.
  • Ideal: single-pilot IFR experience; preferred: prior medevac and/or cargo experience.

📅 Roster & Operations

  • 7-days-on / 7-days-off schedule with 12-hour shifts at the base hangar.
  • Maintain aircraft and crew readiness to meet a 30-minute launch requirement.
  • Strict compliance with all applicable FARs and company OpSpecs at all times.

💼 Pay & Incentives

  • Annual salary: $111,589–$122,748, scaling to a maximum of $156,224.
  • Sign-on bonus: $15,000.
  • Retention bonus: $40,000.
  • Relocation assistance: up to $5,000.

Compensation and incentives are offered by AirMed International and may be contingent on qualifications and company policy.
