This full-time, hands-on Line Pilot role reports to the Head of Flying Operations and is ideal for a commercially qualified pilot who thrives on meticulous flying, safety-first decision making, and delivering high-quality data.

  • Location: Australia (reside within 2 hours of a major Australian city airport)
  • Roster: 16 days on / 12 days off + 4 standby days
  • Employment: Full-time

🧭 The Mission

Execute precision aerial survey lines using advanced LiDAR capture systems, ensuring safe, efficient operations and consistent delivery of high-fidelity data products. You’ll plan and fly missions in varied conditions and controlled airspace, coordinating closely with ATC, ground crews, and project stakeholders.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Plan and execute timely aerial survey missions to exacting LiDAR capture specifications.
  • Actively monitor weather, NOTAMs, and operational conditions to ensure safe, efficient flights.
  • Capture and deliver precise, high-quality LiDAR data and imagery across diverse environments.
  • Navigate congested airspace and coordinate effectively with air traffic services.
  • Inspect and monitor aircraft, powerplant, systems, and mission equipment pre- and post-flight.
  • Maintain aircraft performance within the capture system’s operational envelope throughout each sortie.
  • Keep the aircraft and mission kit organised, neat, and flight-ready.
  • Communicate frequently with stakeholders and submit daily operational reports.
  • Comply with aviation regulations and the Company Operations Manual at all times.
  • Complete company documentation and administration within required timeframes.

🌟 What You’ll Bring

  • Licences & Medical: Australian CPL (Aeroplane), Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) (Aeroplane), Class 1 Aviation Medical.
  • Hours: Minimum 500 total flight hours and 50 multi-engine hours.
  • Airspace: Confident operating in Primary Control Zones (Class C & D).
  • Experience: Previous survey or special mission operations highly regarded.
  • Availability: Comfortable working a 16 on / 12 off roster with 4 standby days.
  • Location: Reside within 2 hours of a major Australian city airport.
  • Mindset: Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and collaborative with strong communication skills.
