As a full-time Aerial Survey Pilot, you’ll operate our P68 twin-engine fleet, capturing precision data with advanced LiDAR and BARS systems. If you’re a commercially experienced multi-engine pilot with survey or special mission expertise, this is your chance to pair disciplined flying with cutting-edge geospatial capture.

  • Fleet: Partenavia/Vulcanair P68 (multi-engine)
  • Capture Systems: LiDAR / BARS
  • Roster: 16 days on / 12 days off (+ 4 standby days)
  • Reports to: Head of Flying Operations
  • License required: CPL (Aeroplane)

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Execute timely, precise aerial survey missions across diverse environments.
  • Actively monitor weather, NOTAMs, airspace, and operational factors to ensure safe, efficient sorties.
  • Deliver high-quality LiDAR/BARS data through stable flight profiles and disciplined capture techniques.
  • Navigate congested airspace and coordinate effectively with ATC in Class C and D environments.
  • Conduct thorough preflight/turnaround inspections of aircraft, powerplant, systems, and equipment.
  • Maintain cabin, equipment, and data capture setups with impeccable organisation and cleanliness.
  • Communicate frequently with stakeholders and submit accurate daily mission reports.
  • Operate the aircraft within the capture systems’ operational envelope and performance parameters.
  • Comply with all applicable aviation regulations and the Company’s Operations Manual.
  • Complete company documentation and administration within required timeframes.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Australian CPL (Aeroplane) with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (Aeroplane).
  • Current Class 1 Aviation Medical.
  • Total flight time: 2,500+ hours; Total command time: 1,500+ hours.
  • Multi-Engine PIC / PICUS: 500+ hours.
  • Total command on multi-engine class < 5,700 kg: 100+ hours.
  • Proven experience operating in Class C and D control zones.
  • Previous aerial survey or special mission operations experience.
  • Ability to work a 16/12 roster with 4 additional standby days.
  • Residency within 2 hours of a major Australian city.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and small-team collaboration skills.
