✈️ Aerial Application Pilot – Thrush 510G
Prairie Dusters is seeking an experienced agricultural pilot to fly the Thrush 510G in support of growers across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. If you’re a precision-focused aviator with deep ag-time and a passion for safe, effective aerial application, we’d love to hear from you.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Plan and execute precise aerial application missions in the Thrush 510G to support agricultural operations.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, weight and balance, performance calculations, and post-flight documentation.
- Operate safely at low level with strong situational awareness, drift management, and adherence to label and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with ground crews for loading, mixing, fueling, and turnaround efficiency.
- Use GPS guidance and application systems to ensure accurate coverage and record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively with growers and team members to align on timing, fields, and application parameters.
- Maintain compliance with Transport Canada and Manitoba/Saskatchewan pesticide regulations.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Canadian CPL (Aeroplane).
- Minimum 1,000 total flight hours.
- At least 1,000 hours of aerial application (ag) time.
- 5+ years of agricultural flying experience.
- Valid Manitoba and Saskatchewan Aerial Pesticide Applicator Licences.
- Time on type (Thrush 510G) considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with ag GPS/guidance and flow control systems.
- Excellent low-level handling skills, judgment, and safety mindset in dynamic field environments.
