GOL Linhas Aéreas

A330 Captain (Long-Haul Widebody)

Lead our widebody long-haul flights as an A330 Captain

GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes is expanding its widebody operation and seeking an experienced A330 Captain to command long-haul services. If you bring proven leadership on the A330, deep knowledge of Brazilian regulations, and a safety-first mindset, we want to hear from you.

  • Employer: GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (Grupo GOL)
  • Advertised location: Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Brazil
  • Work model: On-site (Presencial)
  • Contract type: Permanent (Efetivo)
  • Posting date: 20 March 2026
  • Applications close: 31 August 2026
  • Base: To be defined after selection; relocation required
  • License required: ATPL (ICAO)

✈️ The role

As A330 Captain, you hold full command authority from report time to aircraft handover at trip end, safeguarding operational safety, regulatory compliance and service continuity under RBAC 121 and the CBA. You’ll represent GOL before passengers, crew and authorities, lead a culture of safety, and ensure disciplined, efficient operations on every sector.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Exercise full Captain’s authority over aircraft, crew, passengers and cargo throughout the operation.
  • Refuse an aircraft that is not airworthy; delay, suspend or terminate a flight when indispensable to safety.
  • Refuse boarding or order offloading of persons compromising safety or discipline; act decisively on AVSEC events and coordinate with control agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with RBAC 121, CBA, company manuals and the Air Operator Safety Program.
  • Work with the DOV to confirm dispatch; assess weather, NOTAMs and aerodromes; verify fuel requirements and monitor consumption.
  • Guarantee airworthiness, correct weight and balance, and the safe conduct of flight from door closure to final disembarkation.
  • Lead the flight deck: define Pilot Flying, ensure checklist discipline, and that only essential tasks occur in critical phases.
  • Enforce duty, rest and operational limits; ensure technical and disciplinary subordination of the crew and delegate appropriately (excluding flight-safety-critical duties).
  • Report hazards and unsafe conditions via official systems; ensure compliance with SGSO directives and environmental policy.
  • Ensure cabin safety briefings and procedures in normal, abnormal, emergency and evacuation scenarios; preserve flight-deck integrity and the proper use of emergency equipment.
  • Complete or ensure correct completion of the Diário de Bordo and the aircraft technical report, recording events requiring inspection (e.g., hard landing, severe turbulence, tail strike, RTO, lightning strike, exceedances).
  • Record on-board occurrences including medical events, births and deaths; contract extraordinary maintenance when necessary.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Completed secondary education (Ensino Médio); higher education (Ensino Superior) is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience as Captain on the Airbus A330 (role and aircraft).
  • Brazilian ATPL (PLA) with valid A330 type rating (CHT).
  • Valid aeronautical medical certificate (CMA).
  • Brazilian passport valid for more than 6 months.
  • Valid U.S. visas: B1, B2 and D.
  • Knowledge of RBAC 121 and the CBA; solid SGSO understanding.
  • Proficiency with A330 operational procedures; experience in widebody and long-haul operations.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or higher.
  • Availability to relocate; final base defined after approval in the selection process.

Note: No minimum flight-hour totals are specified in this posting.
