A320 MPL Instructor – Flight & Simulator Training

✈️ About the role

As an experienced MPL Instructor, you will deliver structured phase training aligned with international standards and QCAA/ICAO requirements. You will blend flight instruction and high-fidelity simulator training to build competent, crew-oriented first officers for the A320 family, mentoring cadets through SOPs, MCC, CRM, and airline-relevant decision-making.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Deliver MPL phase training (ground, flight, and simulator) to defined syllabi and international standards.
• Conduct flight instruction and simulator-based training on A320 platforms and training devices.
• Assess pilot competency and provide clear, constructive feedback and development plans.
• Develop, refine, and maintain MPL training materials, briefs, and lesson plans.
• Coach cadets in multi-crew operations, SOP adherence, CRM, TEM, and threat management.
• Ensure full compliance with QCAA and ICAO training standards and academy policies.

🧰 What you bring

• Hold or have held a professional pilot licence acceptable to QCAA (ATPL or CPL, as applicable).
• Airline pilot background with current/previous A320 type rating.
• Fluency in English (minimum ICAO Level 4).
• Minimum 1,500 hours in a multi-crew operational environment.
• Minimum 1,000 hours on aircraft above 20,000 kg MTOW.
• Completed MPL Instructor training course.
• Completed initial CRM course.
• Experience delivering MPL-related phase training.
• Valid Class 1 Medical.
• Phase-specific instructional privileges:
  • Phase 2: One of the following combinations:
    • FI(A) or IRI(A) and IR(A)/ME/MCC with 1,500 hours multi-crew and IR(A) instructional privileges, or
    • FI(A) and MCCI(A), or
    • FI(A) and SFI(A), or
    • FI(A) and TRI(A)

  • Phases 3 & 4: SFI(A) or TRI(A).
• Strong knowledge of airline SOPs, MCC, TEM, and competency-based assessment.
