As First Officer, you will operate scheduled flights in full compliance with the Airline Operations Manual and civil aviation regulations—prioritising safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort on every sector.

🧭 Role overview

In this cockpit role, you will support the Captain in conducting safe, compliant, and efficient A320 operations—from pre‑flight preparation and briefings through to post‑flight documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with flight dispatch, cabin crew, and maintenance teams, and you’ll be ready to take control when delegated or required, always upholding Air Arabia’s safety culture and on-time performance.

🧰 Key responsibilities

  • Operate assigned flights in accordance with the Airline Operations Manual and applicable civil aviation regulations.
  • Prioritise in order: safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort throughout each flight.
  • Arrive fit, legal, and prepared; conduct thorough pre‑flight briefings and participate in post‑flight debriefs.
  • Collaborate with co‑pilots, dispatch, and cabin crew on weather, fuel, payload, aircraft status, and role distribution.
  • Execute all required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks before, during, and after flight; escalate irregularities appropriately.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control/Engineering to confirm aircraft technical status and action rectifications where applicable.
  • Complete flight documentation and technical logs accurately and on time.
  • Stay current with regulatory and manufacturer updates affecting flight operations and crew.
  • Undertake additional ground-based duties (e.g., Safety or Security Officer) as assigned.

🌟 What you’ll bring

  • License: Valid ATPL (ICAO) — mandatory.
  • Flight time: Minimum 4,000 hours total time; A320 experience preferred.
  • Assessments: Successful completion of airline technical and psychometric evaluations.
  • Medical: Pilot medical fitness in line with airline and authority standards.
  • Training: Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) essential; CRM training advantageous.
  • Security & standards: Familiarity with airport/security procedures; knowledge of IATA security principles is an advantage.
  • Operational knowledge: Strong grasp of aircraft systems, SOPs, and flight operations; exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit practices.
  • Tools & communication: Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written/verbal communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Languages: Very good English; additional local languages are a plus.
  • Experience: Low‑cost carrier background is highly desirable.
