Join a key division of the Qantas Group as we build a talent pipeline for our narrow-body A320 family operations. We are inviting expressions of interest from capable First Officers who meet the minimum criteria and are ready to contribute to safe, efficient, and on-time operations. Permanent roles with base locations to be confirmed. Non-type rated applicants are welcome; conversion training will be provided.
🧭 The opportunity
Be part of a professionally run, safety-first operation that keeps Australia moving. You will operate across a modern narrow-body network, supporting a key Qantas Group division. This expression of interest will help us engage with talented First Officers ahead of confirmed base allocations.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 500 hours
- Licence: CASA CPL with ATPL theory credit (Frozen ATPL), current ME IR
- Medical: Class 1
- English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 6
- Approach endorsements: 2D and 3D
- Multi‑crew: Experience in a multi‑crew operation or successful completion of a Multi‑Crew Cooperation (MCC) course
- Command/aircraft time: Meet at least one of the following:
- 200 hours PIC on a multi‑engine aircraft (excluding PICUS); or
- 200 hours PIC on a turbine‑powered fixed‑wing aircraft; or
- 200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by two pilots (multi‑crew)
- Licence jurisdiction: CASA
- Type rating: Not required (Training Provided)
🛡️ Additional requirements
- A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas Freight ports of call and at least 12 months’ validity
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
- Eligible to hold an ASIC
- Work rights: Hold, or be eligible to hold, Australian permanent residency or an unrestricted right to work in Australia
- Visa sponsorship: Not provided
