✈️ Role overview

As Captain on the Airbus A320, you will be responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft in accordance with Air Arabia’s Operations Manual and the requirements of applicable civil aviation authorities. You will lead the flight crew, exercise sound judgment, and deliver a consistently safe, on-time, and customer-focused operation.

🧭 Key responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with the Airline’s Operations Manual—maintained, up to date, understood, and adhered to by all flight crew.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements from the civil aviation authority, Airbus, and other relevant bodies related to flight operations.
  • Lead all phases of flight with a safety-first mindset, applying SOPs, sound decision-making, and effective crew resource management.
  • Conduct thorough briefings, performance calculations, and operational oversight to optimize safety, efficiency, and on-time performance.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, continuous improvement, and compliance within a low-cost carrier environment.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Valid ATPL (ICAO) — appropriate for A320 operations.
  • Minimum 4,000 total flight hours; Airbus A320 experience is preferred.
  • Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments per Air Arabia and relevant civil aviation authority standards.
  • Previous experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable.
  • Eligibility restricted to UAE Nationals under the nationalization programme.
